Notice: The Magic Of Maps At Ripley Museum

Published on: 9 Nov, 2021
Updated on: 8 Nov, 2021

Ripley Museum’s new exhibition Here Be Dragons – The Magic of Maps looks at how maps can teach us about history, but also be fun and colourful.

There is even a map on the back of a cow.

As well as maps, the museum is illustrating the local geology with flints, fossils and a mammoth tooth.

The exhibition will run until February 2022 and the museum is open every Saturday morning between 10am and 12pm, or by appointment by calling Claire on 01483 728546.

While you are visiting, check out their latest publication, a children’s colouring book designed to introduce children to aspects of the history of Send and Ripley.

The book is available to purchase for £5 from the museum, or from Ripley Farmers’ Market, which is held on Ripley Green on the second Saturday of the month from 9am to 1pm.
