A travelling exhibition is coming to venues across the borough showcasing the 2020 and 2021 winners of the Guildford Design Awards.

Hosted by the Guildford Society and Guildford Borough Council, who say the awards recognise good design in new buildings and external spaces, restoration and conservation projects.

The awards also aim to help establish a sense of civic pride in Guildford’s built environment and improve the awareness of the importance of good design and the benefits they bring.

The legacy of heritage buildings are also recognised along with projects that demonstrate sustainable energy principles and exemplary environmental awareness.

The exhibition will be staged at the Guildhall in Guildford High Street on Friday and Saturday, September 9 and 10. It will then move to the following venues:

Albury Village Hall on Saturday, September 17; Pirbright Village Hall on Saturday, September 24; Ripley Village Hall on Saturday, October 1; Shere Village Hall on Saturday, October 15; and West Horsley Place on Saturday, October 29.

The exhibition is free to enter at all venues.

Applications for the 2023 awards will be open from next spring and will include projects completed between June 2021 and June 2023.

Applicants are asked to submit their details via email to: Chair@Guildfordsociety.org.uk
