The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham has a number of fun fundraising events from now until Christmas.
These include: a quiz night on Wednesday, November 18; its ‘virtual Christmas market’ on Saturday, November 28; ‘Light up a life’ memorial event on Monday, December 7; its ‘virtual Santa fun run’ on Saturday, December 12; and a fun festive quiz night on Wednesday, December 16.
Post-Christmas it will be offering a Christmas tree recycling service. This service is being offered to houses in the GU1, GU2, GU9, GU10, GU51 and GU52 postcode areas.
When you sign up, you’ll be sent an email confirming your collection day. Phyllis Tuckwell’s staff and volunteers will be out and about collecting the trees on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 6, 7 and 8.
Phyllis Tuckwell provides supportive and end of life care for patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness such as cancer.
It offers medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support. All of its services are given free of charge to its patients and their families but it has to raise more than £20,000 a day to do this.
