Notice: Volunteering Opportunity With Accredited Training

Home From Hospital, a volunteer ‘Befriender’ scheme, is offering accredited training – An Introduction to Health and Social Care and a Certificate in Care, together with on-going supervision, training and support.

The role of ‘Befriender’ involves supporting vulnerable adults and people who may feel isolated after being discharged from hospital.

Volunteers visit patients in their own homes or take them out into the community. The ‘Befriender’ role does not involve personal care or medicines or require volunteers to drives.

An informal presentation will take place at 10.45 am on Thursday, December 1 at The Spinney, Guildford Grove Children’s Centre, Southway, Park Barn, Guildford GU2 8YD.
