The Wood Street Village Summer Show will take place on the village green this Saturday, July 21.
Starting at 1pm, the show will begin with a procession of local children and singing of the choir.
Local residents Bill and Irene Chester will then crown the Flower Queen and officially declare the show open.
As well as a Punch and Judy show, there will be games for both adults and children to take part in, including the ever-popular coconut shy and ‘beat the goalie’.
The Pantastick Steel Drum Band will play and, with Wood Street Village boasting the only permanent Maypole in a village in Surrey, there will also be Maypole dancing.
Altogether there will be nearly 40 exhibitors’ stalls and a car boot sale at the west end of the green.
The Wood Street Village Horticultural Society marquee also promises to be bursting with home-grown produce, flowers and home crafts.
