Packed Schedule Of Courses, Events And More At The Guildford Institute This Summer

This summer the Guildford Institute will be offering more than 50 courses, as well as a packed schedule of special events, group visits and a host of clubs and societies.

Lots of different hands-on courses.

In addition to the wide ranging art history classes, history and language courses, students can also learn the art of canapé making with Catherine Clark of Kitchen Sink Catering, join an evening yoga class or turn their hands to furniture painting and make a hand painted tray to use at home.

Throughout the summer months, the Institute will also be running a series of one-off workshops for anyone wanting to try something new or to brush-up on their skills – from drawing and painting workshops to the art of hand-tying a floral bouquet.

The talks and special events programme will have something for everyone. To celebrate 50 years since the Apollo 11 moon landing, Graham Bryant, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, will give an afternoon illustrated talk on Apollo to the Moon.

For those who want to venture further afield, the Institute is offering trips to Albury Organic Vineyard and Painshill Park. Why not join them and experience all Surrey has to offer.
