Two members of staff from the Spirit health club at Guildford’s Holiday Inn have this week completed a gruelling 50-mile non-stop 24-hour charity walk setting off from Brighton.

Their destination was back to the Holiday Inn and they did it over Wednesday and Thursday (October 22 and 23) raising money for the British Heart Foundation.

Spirit health club manager Patrick Fitzsimmon and lifestyle consultant Scott Judd are near to raising about £2,000.

Scott said: “We are very happy to have completed the walk. The first part was okay, but the last 10 to 15 miles was very hard – our muscles were aching. I had a day off to recover, but am now back at work.”

You can still make a donation to Patrick and Scott. Call 01483 453134, or Shirley West from the Guildford and Godalming branch of the British Heart Foundation on 01483 563071.
