Passenger Seriously Injured in Collision Near Sutton Green

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a BMW and Volvo near Sutton Green at 11.50am today (January 20). One passenger is in a serious condition and was taken to hospital.

Long tailbacks were reported in both directions.

The accident was reported by Surrey Police to have happened on the A320 Guildford Road near the Pyle Hill junction. The A320 runs between Guildford and Woking.

The road was closed in both directions and police said it was expected to be closed for some time. One affected motorist told The Dragon: “There were massive tailbacks through old Woking Road and Sutton Green.”

A police statement said: “If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the collision or have any information, including dashcam footage which could help our investigation please contact us quoting PR/SYP-20240120-0275.”
