Surrey Police officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a robbery during which a man was dragged from his car and assaulted by three men, which took place in Ash at the end of last month (February 2018).

The victim had parked his car in Shawfield Road around 9.40pm on February 27 when a car pulled up behind him and three men got out. They pulled the victim out of his car, a black Mini Cooper, and assaulted him before driving off in the Mini.

The car was found around 11pm in Wellesley Close, Ash Vale, after being set alight.

The victim was taken to Frimley Park Hospital but despite his ordeal, had only suffered cuts and bruises and was released the following day.

The suspects are described as white, in their late 20s, with their faces covered by masks.

In a police press release, a police spokesperson said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or with any other information, to call us straightaway on 101, quoting crime reference number 45180021793.

“Alternatively the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
