South Western Railways have announced that industrial action by the RMT union, scheduled for Thursday, March 30 and Saturday, April 1 has been suspended following a potential breakthrough in talks.
The railway company expects to operate its normal timetable on both days.
Customers are advised to check before travelling on Saturday, April 1 as engineering works are taking place across the network.
SWT says: “There is no further strike action planned at this time.”
An RMT spokesperson told the Daily Mirror: “Following further talks between RMT and the Rail Delivery Group today, a proposal was tabled by the RDG which could lead to a resolution to resolve the current national rail dispute through a new offer.
