Pupils at Guildford Grove School in Park Barn have made poppies for a display that spells out the words ‘LEST WE FORGET’ for this year’s time of remembrance.

The display has been mounted on a fence between the primary school’s car park and playground, off Southway.

The school says: “We are so proud of our poppy display to mark Remembrance Day. We hope our local community enjoy the display created by our pupils and put together by our staff. We love the way the sun creates a stunning shadow on our playground.”

The display of poppies with the sun casting a shadow that also reveals the words ‘LEST WE FORGET’ on the school playground.
