Get in the mood for Christmas with a fresh experience of the Nativity at Jacobs Well on Saturday, December 14, from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Stroke the animals in the stable (donkey, sheep, goats), have a chat with Mary and Joseph, and see the baby Jesus; warm refreshments available to enjoy in Jacobs Well Village Hall with hot chocolate, mulled wine, tea, mince pies. Try your hand at Christmas crafts, join in with some Christmas carols and enjoy the delightful sounds of the hand bells.

It takes place at Jacobs Well Scout and Guide Hut and the village hall, Jacobs Well Road. Suggested donation £2 per adult – any profits to Chase children’s hospice.

The event is being organised by St Peter’s Shared Church at Bellfields, that serves Bellfields, Slyfield Green and Jacobs Well.

And on Sunday, December 15, there will be carol singing on the green opposite the church at 4pm. See the church’s website for full details.

The National Trust property Hatchlands at East Clandon has a special event on Sunday, December 15, from 1pm to 3pm. Visit the animals and see Father Christmas. Normal admission prices.

From 3pm to 4pm, there will be carols in Hatchland’s music room for the whole family. Adults £5, children £3, family ticket £14.
