Sword Seen in Guildford Street Fight – Surrey Police Appealing for Witnesses

Reports of a sword being seen in a street fight have led to a witness appeal by Surrey Police.

Officers were called to Stoughton Road, in the Bellfields area of Guildford, on Wednesday, 22 September, at approximately 8.30pm.

It had been reported that a fight was taking place between around 5-7 people and that a sword had been seen. But when officers arrived those engaged in the fight had already dispersed.

A thorough search of the area was carried out, with the assistance of a police helicopter, but no one requiring assistance was found.

PC Shepherd, who is investigating the incident, said: “This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and we would like to speak to anyone who saw anything, or has any information about this fight that may be useful to our investigation. If you were driving through the area at the time, and have any dashcam footage of the incident, please do get in touch with us.”

A police spokesperson said: “If you witnessed anything or have any further information, please contact us quoting incident reference PR/45210100435 via:
