Technical Problem Reported at Thames Water Works

Thames Water says an undefined “technical problem” at the Ladymead (Slyfield) water treatment works has so far had no impact on water supplies in the GU1, GU2, GU4 and GU5 postcode areas.

The water company’s website states: “We’re working on a technical problem at Ladymead water treatment works in Guildford.

“This shouldn’t be reducing anyone’s water supply, so if you have no water or low pressure please get in touch to tell us.

“The issue has the potential to limit the amount of water we can treat and supply from the site, but we’re working hard to get things back to normal as soon as possible.

“Our engineers are on site, and we’re looking at how we can provide extra water to the area.”

A spokesperson said water pressure might have reduced slightly but no problems had been reported by customers and it had been concluded that there was unlikely to be any noticeable impact on water supply in the area.
