Trespasser Blocks Guildford Railway Lines

Guildford railway lines we blocked yesterday after a trespasser was noticed on the line to the south of the station, in St Catherine’s.

South West Trains issued the following statement at the time, around 1pm: “Guildford lines are currently blocked due to trespass on the railway. The train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised at short notice.

“We are anticipating disruption until 15:00 on 14th June.

“We have received reports of a trespasser on the line near to Guildford station. As a result, all lines are currently blocked.

“The British Transport Police and railway response teams are on site.

“To reduce the delays to trains, some services may have to be altered or revised at short notice. Some services may also be diverted via an alternative route. We are sorry for any disruption this may cause to your journey.”
