There will be two M25 weekend closures this month on Junction 10 with the A3. The first will be this coming weekend, Friday, March 7, to Monday, March 10; and the second will be March 21-24 . The motorway will be closed between junction 10 Wisley and junction 11 Chertsey.
National Highways held a press briefing on Tuesday (March 4) at its offices outside Ripley. Reporters from BBC Surrey, Surrey Live and The Guildford Dragon NEWS attended this briefing, which was likely to be the last one needed for this M25 junction 10 project.
A new roundabout is now in partial use which means the old bridges over the M25 need to be removed. These will be the last time the M25 will be closed for this particular project.
Whilst there have been delays in the project, now due for final completion in 2026, the M25 itself will be finished this summer, 2025. And the speed limit will be returned to 70mph for normal traffic conditions.
However, work will continue on the A3. There will be three further weekend closures between Junction 10 and the Cobham turn off at Pains Hill. These closures will be for the installation of three new gantries.

Starting in April there will also be a seven-month contra flow system on the A3, south of Junction 10, while work continues to create four lanes in both directions. This means that there will still be three lanes in both directions but that one southbound lane will be on the London bound side.
The delay to the overall completion was caused by the long spells of rain which prevented large equipment from being used but motorists will be able to take full advantage of the improvements long before summer 2026.
One delay is due to assessing the optimum time to plant out the 30 metre wide “green” Cockcrow bridge just south of the junction by Ockham Bites, Old Lane. This delay will not prevent the use of the bridge later this year.
