Vote Now For The Best Customer Service In Guildford

Experience Guildford, the team supporting Guildford’s Business Improvement District, is calling for people to vote for the traders they think offer outstanding customer service in its annual Customer Service Awards.

Voting is easy. Simply text your vote to 88802 with the message CSA plus the name of the store or business you wish to nominate. (normal network text charges apply). Voting opens on Friday, June 7 and you have until midday on Friday, July 19 to get your nomination in.

Experience Guildford says that covering the full mix of retail and leisure businesses operating in the town, from beauty salons to burger joints, venues to clothing stores, the awards, now in their seventh year, offer a great opportunity for the public to sing the praises of those who they feel go above and beyond in the name of great service.

And adds that with 14 categories to choose from, the awards have become one of the most hotly contested in the town, with a host of businesses eagerly competing to win the coveted trophy for their sector.

This year the awards also invite nominations for a new category presented in partnership with Guildford Access Group. The Access Award of the Year will recognise stores and businesses that go the extra mile in terms of service provision for customers who require a little more support.

Categories for the 2019 awards include:
• Leisure and lifestyle
• Health & Fitness
• Hair & Beauty
• Service Providers
• Professional Services (Sponsored by Chapters Financial)
• Pubs, Bars and Clubs
• Coffee Shops
• Restaurants Independent (Sponsored by The County Club)
• Restaurants National
• Food on the Go
• Retail National small (20 staff or less)
• Retail National large (20 staff and over) (Sponsored by Tunsgate Quarter)
• Retail independent
• Access Award

The Shining Star category will also return, offering managers or owners of individual stores and businesses the chance to nominate their staff members who they feel should be recognised for the great service that they offer.

The three businesses with the highest number of votes for each category will then be shortlisted. Following this, the three shortlisted businesses will be reviewed by an independent judge and ‘secret shopper’ before the final winners for each category are announced at a ceremony at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on Monday, September 16.
