Witness Hunt After Report of Midnight Sex Attack Near Millmead Lock

Police are seeking witnesses after a woman in her 30s reported she was sexually assaulted near Millmead Lock, between 11.30pm on Monday, September 21, and 12.30am. The suspect is described as tanned, with a beard and dark hair.

Detective Inspector Deborah Birch said: “We have been making various enquiries to try to piece together what actually happened. I would like to reassure the local community we are doing everything possible to ensure this is thoroughly investigated. The victim is also being provided with the appropriate support.

“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the Millmead Lock area during those times on September 21 an 22 and saw or heard anything suspicious. Your information could be vital to this investigation so please get in touch.
