Driver Charged After Car Hits Tree In Rush Hour

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with drink-driving after a car hit a tree on the junction between Jacob’s Well Road and Clay Lane in the morning rush hour (March 12).

Ambulance and fire crews were called about 8.50 am and managed to free the damaged passenger door. Both occupants suffered bruising, and the passenger had a suspected broken collar bone. They were taken to hospital.
