Woman Found Hanging From Tree In Parkway

A woman has been pronounced dead after her body was discovered hanging from a tree in Parkway, Guildford, yesterday evening (Friday, September 9).

Surrey Police report that ambulance crews attended the scene near the entrance to the Spectrum leisure centre but the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

A group of young people returning from the fun fair on Stoke Park near Spectrum made the grim discovery and the police were called.

The area was cordoned off and Parkway was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The police say that an investigation into the death, which is being treated as unexplained, remains ongoing. However, it is not believed there is any third party involvement or any suspicious circumstances at present.
