Woodbridge Road Fatality, No Arrests Made, Police Appeal for Witnesses

Surrey Police have issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the fatal collision in Woodbridge Road on Wednesday (February 9) last week to come forward.

Officers were called to Woodbridge Road, where it is a dual carriageway, near Lidl supermarket at 11.55am following reports of a collision between a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a man in his 50’s, was crossing the road on the pedestrian crossing when he was hit by the Fiesta. He sustained serious head injuries and sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the Fiesta and his passenger were both taken to hospital suffering with serious but not life-threatening injuries. No one has, so far, been arrested in relation to the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: “Surrey Police is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
