Zippo's Circus logoThis year is Zippos Circus’ 30th anniversary, and as part of the Celebration! (the title of this year’s new show) it is presenting open house events.

Visitors to the show in Shalford park, Guildford, have the chance to look around the circus, ask staff how the show is set up and organised, and meet the circus’s beautiful horses ‘at home’ in their stables and play area, this Friday, April 15.

The circus’s founder and director Martin ‘Zippo’ Burton said: “People often ask us how the show is organised, as well as where our wonderful horses live and how they’re trained and transported, so we’re opening the doors and welcoming everyone in for a free look-round.”

Friday’s open house event is from 11am to noon, and Mr Burton added: “Circus staff will be on hand to answer questions about every aspect.  It’s free of charge, but we’d like to know in advance how many people to expect at our open house, so please let us know ahead of the day if you can come.”

Email, or ask at the circus ticket office.

Zippos Circus is in Guildford, performing at Shalford Park until Tuesday, April 19 (a change of site because of wet conditions at Stoke Park).
