In response to: ‘People Working From Home Has Changed Our Business’ Says Stationers Biddles

Interesting to hear Biddles not gone the way of so much of the world. One of my most treasured possessions is a watercolour of the house in Sutton Scotney in which my grandfather was born. According to the handwritten back label it was framed by: “Biddles, Print Sellers, Framing department. 168 High Street.” Probably before the First World War.

I am currently living in California and the treasured picture is on the brief list of things to grab and go in case of earthquake, fire, flood or an emergency evacuation becomes necessary.

I wonder what your readers #1 bits of old Guildford would be to save?
