In response to: Birdwatcher’s Diary No.251

If the Guildford Dragon were the BBC I would say that Birdwatcher’s Diary is one of the regular features that makes the licence fee worth paying. Long may the column and The Dragon continue.

I particularly like the photos of the brimstone and the mining bee for which I think the timing and “look” are right for the species andrena clarkella. I suggest that Malcolm Fincham should post the photo on the Facebook group “UK Bees, Wasps & Ants” or use i-record for eventual confirmation by an expert.
