In response to: How Will Guildford’s Local Plan Be Challenged?

In the light of the recent election results, and the centrality of the Local Plan in the election, I was extremely disappointed to read the comments of the GBC spokesperson.

The comments come across as politically provocative at a time when it is more important than ever (ie while the new council is yet to be formed) that council staff are seen to be politically neutral in all their actions and communications.

I urge James Whiteman to advise his staff of the importance of their impartiality at all times, and to ensure that they desist from further politically insensitive comments.
