I always thought of Anne Milton as a political cipher, but recent events have increased my respect for her.
But Sir Paul Beresford who is my own MP and a decent enough chap, has faded into complete invisibility. Where does he stand in this crisis that affects us all? We have the most ideological government in history, but Sir Paul has gone to ground.

Sir Paul is also my MP and I think his policy is “anything for the quiet life”. I believe he voted for Theresa May’s deal on a number of occasions and now he is supportive of Johnson and Cummings toxic politics.
Anne Milton at least had the courage to stand up for her beliefs and the views of her constituents who, after all, voted to Remain by a clear margin.
