I just wanted to thank The Guildford Dragon. This evening, Ian and I have been watching the interviews you held with the candidates to help us come to a voting decision.

For me, after five decades of voting, I think this has been the most difficult election poll I have had to decide on. The mass of paper through the door didn’t really help. Even more Lib Dem ones today and I see Jo Swinson even commented on the deluge.

Your interviews were very interesting and helpful. The structure in what you covered was wide-ranging and challenging in terms of local issues. I don’t think they all got equal time and coverage but managing that must be tricky and, overall, I congratulate you on an excellent job.

Given we had only one visit to our door from a couple of young Labourites, your perspective was especially helpful. Our visitors were very pleasant and didn’t do the hard sell, just handed us a copy of their booklet we already had.

I found the “Opinion: I couldn’t find the Party in Party Politics” by Bethany Dawson a well-written and interesting piece. So thank you, Dragon, for keeping us informed.

It’s going to be interesting today, if only to see how long we can stay awake during the night.
