In response to: Tory GBC Leader Says Pre-Election OK to Local Plan Not Political Decision
Do the Conservative councillors seriously think anyone will vote for them at the local elections when they hear that this vote has been engineered to avoid any public influence in the last moments of the Guildford Local Plan process?
If the Conservatives continue this proposal to vote on the adoption of the Local Plan on April 25, they give every other party candidate a great big chunk of ammunition to fight the elections and will surely be hammering the final nail into their own coffin.
A clear choice, they can hold the meeting just seven days before the election and commit political suicide or, change the date, keep their fingers crossed and hope the “silent majority” crawl out of the woodwork to save them.
